Habitat for Humanity will upgrade toilets and sanitation facilities in 50 schools across Fiji

Habitat for Humanity’s Water for Women project is upgrading sanitation facilities in 50 schools across Fiji. During the dry season, water scarcity affects the performance and health of students in schools across the country, which rely heavily on well water to operate their toilets. The implementation of HFH’s Water for Women project will increase demand for low water-use sanitation options, which will mitigate local climate change risks and help supply schools with clean and safe water, elevating their respective Government of Fiji and UNICEF WASH in Schools rating from zero to three Stars.
