The WASH Up: June 2024

June 2024
What a quarter it has been for amplifying #WASHaction, #WaterAction and #SanitAction on the world stage, demonstrating the ripple effects of climate-resilient and socially inclusive water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services and systems for community resilience.
During May, Water for Women not only marked the two pivotal global dates of IDAHOBIT - the United Nations International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (17 May), and Menstrual Hygiene Day (28 May), but also actively participated in global dialogues at the 10th World Water Forum in Bali, Indonesia (18-25 May). In this largest of international water sector events, co-hosted by the World Water Council and Government of the Republic of Indonesia, climate-resilient inclusive WASH was kept firmly on the agenda, and the voices and knowledges of Indigenous and marginalised communities amplified for effective locally led solutions.
You can explore our Insights, news, postcards, and more from these three key global events and the quarter below.
