Seeing the unseen at World Water Week 2022
World Water Week is a conference for people who understand that tackling the greatest challenges of our time often starts with water. This year, the hybrid online and in-person event in Sweden will be delving into a broad range of topics, from food security and health to agriculture, technology, biodiversity, and the climate crisis.
Within the overall theme of “Seeing the unseen: The value of water”, over 300 sessions will be grouped under three key sub-themes:
- The value of water for people and development
- The financial and economic value of water
- The value of water for nature and climate change
Water for Women is pleased to be convening two gold standard sessions with our partners that will explore unseen, but critical aspects of water security and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH).

Australia – water partners for development will also be represented on the ground in Sweden by the representatives from Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and many leading Australian water organisations.
