Participatory Action Research (PAR) in Practice – WASH for women and people with disabilities

This document summarises the process, successes, challenges and learnings to date from a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach adopted for the “WASH and Beyond – Transforming Lives in Eastern Indonesia” project. This PAR approach has enabled the project team to unearth local WASH priorities, and support locally led actions around increasing advocacy and rights to safe, accessible and inclusive public WASH.

This paper is the basis for the presentation made by Lana Woolf of Edge Effect at the recent Australasian Aid Conference in Canberra

This paper was authored by Lana Woolf (Edge Effect) and Lee Leong (Plan International)
